How to walk there, when the gate opens, the NPC chain, and what Mizunoto actually gives you.

Final Selection is the slayer exam. Minimum level 45. Recommended solo level about 60. Completion awards Mizunoto rank, a Slayer Uniform, Ore, and a Kasugai Crow — the start of Corps progression, not the end of the game.

Walking there

  1. Mark Final Selection on the map. It sits in the far west.
  2. Reach Mistfall Harbor, then the Butterfly Estate.
  3. Take the very long bridge south onto Final Selection Plains.
  4. Follow the path northeast until the gate.
  5. The gate currently opens on the hour. If it is closed, you are early, not lost.

Inside: the NPC chain

Speak to The Sisters to begin. Then run this chain in order: Rem (fruit) → Vael (Lesser Demons) → Klien (katana and wounds — buy Bandages from Rika) → Mizuto (pond key and dungeon) → Lavato (timed mountain checkpoints) → Levi (civilian rescue) → Steve (Hand Demon). Defeat the Hand Demon and walk back to The Sisters.

Before you enter

  • Spend parked skill points on available upgrades.
  • Wear the best blade you have. Fancy Katana is enough; waiting on a mythic drop is not.
  • Know one Breathing string you can land on command.
  • If you are still dying to Hoyuzo's Guards, you are not ready for the Hand Demon.
